British Brass Group To Tour The USA

 

The well-known British brass septet, Septura, will be traveling across the Atlantic Ocean to embark on their first tour of the United States. Founded in 2012, the group is comprised of some of the finest brass players in the United Kingdom. Many of the group’s players hold principal positions in ensembles such as the London Symphony, Philharmonia, Royal Philharmonic, BBC Symphony, Basel Symphony and Aurora orchestras.

On this 10-day tour, Septura will be traveling throughout the middle part of the country to the states of Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Iowa, and Kansas. Jeremy E. Smith is the Founder and Editor of Last Row Music. He received music degrees from Grace College, Carnegie Mellon University, and The Ohio State University. Currently, Jeremy is the bass trombonist of the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra, the Huntington Symphony Orchestra, and performs throughout Ohio, where he lives with his wife and two sons. Smith is a member of the International Trombone Association and the Jazz Journalists Association.
