British Brass Group To Tour The USA


The well-known British brass septet, Septura, will be traveling across the Atlantic Ocean to embark on their first tour of the United States. Founded in 2012, the group is comprised of some of the finest brass players in the United Kingdom. Many of the group’s players hold principal positions in ensembles such as the London Symphony, Philharmonia, Royal Philharmonic, BBC Symphony,┬áBasel Symphony and Aurora orchestras.

On this 10-day tour, Septura will be traveling throughout the middle part of the country to the states of Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Iowa, and Kansas. Jeremy Smith is a trombonist, brass teacher, and blogger. He studied music performance at both Grace College and Carnegie Mellon University, and currently is the bass trombonist for Orchestra Iowa and the Huntington Symphony Orchestra.
