Tuesdays on the Tube: Buddy Deshler and The Brass Roots

Whenever you see young talent doing so well it is always appropriate to feature them. I have known of The Brass Roots since its inception. as all of the players are based in the Pittsburgh area. The soloist in this video, Buddy Deshler, has also been a rising trumpet player who has performed with quite a few ensembles throughout the country, and is a co-Founder of the Fredricksburg Brass Institute.

Here is a video that has been gaining views recently of Buddy’s collaboration with the Brass Roots in a recording of “Grand Russian Fantasia” for Brass Ensemble. A very virtuosic arrangement by Marcus Grant for a group (and soloist) with a lot of exciting talent!
