New York Announces Principal Horn Opening

While it has not been posted on their website, the New York Philharmonic has announced on the AFM website they will be holding an audition for Principal Horn in the fall of 2018. The current Principal, Philip Myers, has been a legendary figure with the ensemble since his tenure began in 1980.

This vacancy now puts the total at three Principal Horn openings in U.S. major orchestras. Chicago and Cleveland have yet to fill their positions.
