Pereira To Perform Strauss With NSO

For the National Symphony Orchestra, this upcoming season will be exciting with the new era of conductor Gianandrea Noseda. While Noseda will be conducting many great works this season, one weekend worth noting is in June of 2018. On the docket will be Richard Strauss’ Horn Concerto No. 1 performed by Abel Pereira, Principal Horn of the NSO. This performance will be the finale to the classical portion of the NSO’s 2017-2018 season and will be conducted by Christoph Eschenbach, the former conductor of the NSO. Also included on the program of this two-night performance will be:

  • Wagner – Prelude to The Mastersingers of Nuremberg
  • Mozart – A Little Night Music
  • Haydn – Symphony No. 92, “Oxford”

The performances will be June 15-16, 2018 at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
