Tuesdays on the Tube: Szeged Trombone Ensemble

maxresdefault

I always enjoy finding a group of musicians that perform music that is unexpected for their instruments. Even more so when classically trained musicians find ways to perform pop music (and it do it well!), it shows the music industry that more collaborations, more innovative projects should be happening amongst multiple genres of music.

This week’s YouTube post features the Szeged Trombone Ensemble. Born out of Hungary by György Gyivicsán, the ensemble is composed of members from his studio at the University of Szeged. Take a listen to this great arrangement of “Uptown Funk.” Also, be sure to check their new recording underneath this video.
