Tuesdays on the Tube: Brass of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra

I decided for today’s Tuesdays on the Tube series to go off the beaten path from YouTube and feature a video I saw through Facebook. The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra is arguably one of the greatest orchestras in the world, and with that comes one of the great brass sections. Formed back in 2003, the Brass of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra has produced two recordings as well as toured all over the world.

What I enjoy about this video is the combination of two ingredients – one of the best brass sections in the world and performing undoubtedly in the greatest concert hall in the world. With these components plus an excellent transcription of Sibelius’ Finlandia, you have an fantastic performance. Enjoy, and if you would like to listen to more, you can find their recordings on Spotify or you can purchase their albums here.
