Tuesdays on the Tube: Delfeayo Marsalis and Sesame Street

Delfeayo Marsalis is one of my favorite jazz trombonists right now.  Being part of the famous Marsalis family (Ellis, Wynton, Branford, Delfeayo, and Jason), he has been able to make a name for himself, and has remained in New Orleans where it all started for the family. I like his sound because it reminds me of what I might hear if strolling along the streets New Orleans – just a very easy, effortless, happy sound.

This video of his take on “Can You Tell Me How to Get to Sesame Street?” was produced for his newest solo album, The Last Southern Gentlemen.

Enjoy!
