In the spirit of our Nation’s birthday this coming Monday, (and the fact that someone in Washington wants to defund music in the military), I am going to highlight some of the great sounds and performances of our nation’s military musicians. Throughout the week will be videos as well as opinion articles regarding the importance of music in the military. This video below features the Navy Band Northwest Jazz Combo performing for a local radio station in the Pacific Northwest.
