Tuesdays on the Tube: Septura

One of the great things about building Last Row Music is I get to come in contact with people from all over the world requesting to have their information or website listed as a link. Last week, a brass player from the United Kingdom asked if I could list his group’s website with the other Brass Ensemble links. As I visited the website of Septura, I started to peruse the media section, and found many great videos – one of which is Bruckner’s Os Justi. .

Septura is a excellent sounding group comprised of London’s leading brass players. With their strong, cohesive harmonies, this group has been producing quite a few recordings through Naxos, and is currently the Ensemble-in-Residence at the Royal Academy of Music in London. Ironically, their bass trombonist, Dan West, plays the same vintage Conn 62H that I play on a regular basis. Enjoy this video and be sure to check their website for tour dates and more information regarding this phenomenal group.
