Tuesdays on the Tube: Freddie Hubbard

In honor of Jazz Appreciation Month, here is a tip of the hat to one of the great jazz trumpet players. Freddie Hubbard, who would have been 79 on April 7th, was an influencer on the bebop style of jazz during the 1960s until his death in 2008.

This clip features Freddie playing with the Late Nite with Dave Letterman Band in 1984 performing “First Light” from his album Sweet Return.
