Tuesdays on the Tube: U.S. Marine Brass

Continuing to highlight holiday music this season, here is clip from Holiday Concert performed the brass section of “The President’s Own” U.S. Marine Band. In 2015, I was able to hear this group perform at the International Trumpet Guild in Columbus, Ohio. Many of the most talented brass musicians I have ever heard are in this group.

Enjoy this arrangement of Stephen Bulla’s Rhapsody for Hanukkah by some of the best of the best.

Jeremy E. Smith is the Founder and Editor of Last Row Music. He received music degrees from Grace College, Carnegie Mellon University, and The Ohio State University. Currently, Jeremy is the bass trombonist of the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra, the Huntington Symphony Orchestra, and performs throughout Ohio, where he lives with his wife and two sons. Smith is a member of the International Trombone Association and the Jazz Journalists Association.
