ARD International Music Competition (Trumpet)

The 74th International ARD Music Competition invites young musicians to compete in the fields of Clarinet, Piano, and Trumpet this year. Talented musicians from around the world, aiming to start an international career and gain experience by taking part in the “Olympics of classical music” (Sir Simon Rattle), are welcome to apply for this world-famous competition by March 28, 2025.

The competition will be conducted during the period from September 1 to 19, 2025 (including the prizewinners’ concerts). All auditions are open to the public. The trumpet category takes place September 3-12, 2025.

The competition is open to musicians from all countries born between 1996 and 2008. You will be competing for prize money, prestigious awards, a CD recording and the entrée to a concert career. Competition performances will be transmitted through the ARD Mediathek, accessible on YouTube and broadcast on Bavarian Radio (BR).
