DESCRIPTION:The Trombone Workshop at Shell Lake Arts Center is a fun and educational experience aimed at increasing musicianship in any trombonist – from beginner to advanced player! The trombone workshop is geared towards trombonists completing grades 7-12\, and motivated 6th graders and is located in beautiful Northwoods Wisconsin. SUMMARY:Third Coast Trombone Retreat
DESCRIPTION:The Third Coast Trombone Retreat is a 7-day trombone immersion welcoming talented college\, high school\, and amateur trombonists from across the country to the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan. \nThe Festival Dates will be June 8-14\, 2026 with the early discounted deadline of March 16 and final deadline of April 6. \nDavid Rejano – Principal Trombone\, Los Angeles Philharmonic and Faculty at the Colburn School \nMatthew Vaughn – Co-Principal Trombone\, Philadelphia Orchestra and Faculty at Temple University \nTalented accepted students from all over the world participate in events that grow their musicianship and prepare them for the professional world. From masterclasses and lessons and chamber music to classes on topics such as entrepreneurship\, performance psychology\, movement and wellness\, and personal finance\, the retreat is as concentrated as it is comprehensive. \nThe Retreat takes place in the charming small town of Montague\, MI. DESCRIPTION:Are you a high school trombonist interested in a challenging atmosphere where you can improve on your skills? Join us this summer for the SMI Trombone Camp! Students will receive individual guidance from Dr. Jeremy Marks at BGSU. A typical day could include trombone ensembles\, private lessons\, seminars\, or student or faculty performances. Each student will have the opportunity to perform on the final concert. \nPreparation:\nStudents should be entering 9-12 grades and should prepare an etude and/or solo for placement in ensembles on the first day of camp.
