New Book Focuses on Bordogni Etudes for Contrabass Trombone

Bass Trombonist Javier Colomer (a Brass Profiles member) has recently released a new book of etudes by Marco Bordogni specifically adapted for the Contrabass Trombone. With a total of 17 etudes, this book is written in both Spanish and English and contains slide charts for contrabass trombones in both F/D/Bb and F/C/Db/A.

Colomer has previously written other books on the subject of the contrabass trombone including The World of Contrabass Trombone with instrument manufacturer Heinrich Thein.

Jeremy E. Smith is the Founder and Editor of Last Row Music. He received music degrees from Grace College, Carnegie Mellon University, and The Ohio State University. Currently, Jeremy is the bass trombonist of the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra, the Huntington Symphony Orchestra, and performs throughout Ohio, where he lives with his wife and two sons. Smith is a member of the International Trombone Association and the Jazz Journalists Association.
