Colorado State University Trombone Studio Announces Teaching Assistant Opening

The Colorado State University Trombone Studio is excited to announce an opening for a graduate teaching assistant position for Fall 2026 (this upcoming audition season). This position is for a master’s degree tenor or bass trombone performance major, and includes valuable experience in teaching lessons, coaching chamber music, conducting trombone choir, as well as tons of performance opportunities!

We are in beautiful Fort Collins, Colorado, on the front range of the Rocky Mountains, close to numerous amazing outdoor sights and activities, and with a thriving music scene with opportunities for outside private teaching and performing with area orchestras.

Jeremy Smith

Jeremy E. Smith is the Founder and Editor of Last Row Music. He received music degrees from Grace College, Carnegie Mellon University, and The Ohio State University. Currently, Jeremy is the bass trombonist of the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra and performs throughout Ohio, where he lives with his wife and two sons. Smith is a member of the International Trombone Association and the Jazz Journalists Association.
