Haydn Trumpet Concerto with the New York Philharmonic

Marek Janowski, who “conveyed a sense of long experience and expert certitude” (New York Classical Review) in his NY Phil debut in 2025, conducts works including Mendelssohn’s Scottish Symphony, inspired by the composer’s visit to the ruins of Holyrood Abbey in Edinburgh. NY Phil Principal Trumpet Christopher Martin is the soloist in Haydn’s Trumpet Concerto, and Mozart’s Serenata notturna opens the program.
