Florida State Jazz Trumpet Student Killed in Hit-and-Run Car Crash

Blake Bennett, a Jazz trumpet student at Florida State University, was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Tuesday night, November 17, 2020. Bennett, a student of Jazz trumpeter Scotty Barnhart, was planning to graduate this upcoming spring with a B.A. in Psychology and a B.S. in Jazz Performance. UPDATE 11/21/20: An arrest has been made for this hit-and-run crash. A GoFundMe page has been set up to cover funeral expenses.
