Tuba Player Dies On An Airplane, Wakes Up Topless In Tokyo, And Writes A New Book/Album To Tell The Story

Multi-instrumentalist, author, producer and tuba mogul Bill Muter releases a new paperback novel and music album combo “Topless in Tokyo.”

The book features a series of stories about the musician’s travel and life mishaps over the years. Events that most average tuba players go through like getting held hostage in a foreign country or closing down an entire airport terminal. For every story in the book, there is a corresponding song written, performed, produced and engineered by Bill Muter. Special guests on the album include Drew Tucker, Claudens Louis, and Richard “Byrd” Wilson.

Bill’s first book A Practical Approach was a bestseller in Apple’s iBook store and his last album Off Script soared to #1 on the iTunes Instrumental Charts in South Africa. Over the years, Bill has performed around the world in venues Japan, Korea, Haiti, and more. On Bill’s last tour he served as a Cultural Ambassador with the US Department of State and as Music Director with “Drew Tucker and the New Standard” in the same program that Louis Armstrong and Dizzy Gillespie pioneered back in the 1950s. The New Times also hails Bill as a “Showstopper” and “The most innovative tuba player we’ve seen.”

Topless in Tokyo is exclusively available through Bill’s website tubavisionary.com and will be available through book retailers Barnes and Noble and anywhere you can listen to music online on March 25th, 2019.
