University of Colorado Announces Two Trombone Graduate Assistant Openings

The University of Colorado Boulder trombone studio announces two Graduate Teaching Assistant positions within the College of Music beginning in August 2024. One assistantship includes placement in our graduate brass quintet. The other assistantship includes duties assigned within the trombone studio. MM, DMA, and AD applicants will be considered for these positions. Previous graduates from the trombone studio at CU Boulder have gone on to successful careers in symphony orchestras, military bands, and university teaching positions throughout the country.

Jeremy Smith

Jeremy E. Smith is the Founder and Editor of Last Row Music. He received music degrees from Grace College, Carnegie Mellon University, and The Ohio State University. Currently, Jeremy is the bass trombonist of the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra, the Huntington Symphony Orchestra, and performs throughout Ohio, where he lives with his wife and two sons. Smith is a member of the International Trombone Association and the Jazz Journalists Association.
