Ashley Hall-Tighe Joins The Canadian Brass

On August 9, 2023, the Canadian Brass announced the appointment of trumpeter Ashley Hall-Tighe to this legendary brass quintet. Hall-Tighe becomes the second woman to join Canadian Brass after trumpeter Manon LaFrance was a member from 2006-2010. She will join current members Joe Burgstaller (trumpet), Jeff Nelsen (horn), Achilles Liarmakopoulos (trombone), and Chuck Daellenbach (tuba).

Ashley Hall-Tighe is an international musician, educator, and life coach who has traveled across 4 continents sharing the gift of music. Since 2008, she has been Principal Trumpet of the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra.

Jeremy E. Smith is the Founder and Editor of Last Row Music. He received music degrees from Grace College, Carnegie Mellon University, and The Ohio State University. Currently, Jeremy is the bass trombonist of the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra, the Huntington Symphony Orchestra, and performs throughout Ohio, where he lives with his wife and two sons. Smith is a member of the International Trombone Association and the Jazz Journalists Association.
