Simon Höfele at the Kissinger Sommer Festival

June 27 @ 8:15 PM CEST
Share This!

The brilliantly versatile Simon Höfele, a returning guest at the Kissinger Sommer festival, loves musical adventures and pushing boundaries. This connects him with pianist and electronic artist Kaan Bulak, as does their shared love of coffee, which plays a significant role in the program. For example, one of the musicians’ favorite coffee varieties comes from the majestic Haraz Mountains in Yemen, from which the concert takes its title. And among the striking instrumental effects of this acoustic-geographical-musical journey to distant regions is the imitation of a coffee grinder’s sound. The program blends styles, combining influences from the Middle East and contemporary music with Berlin’s electronic soundscape.

Concert without intermission.
