Hornist Ben Goldscheider To Record Second Solo Album

Rising horn phenom Ben Goldscheider will be releasing his second solo album near the end of 2020. A project with Three World Records, this new album will pay tribute to horn legend Dennis Brain and will include music by Huw Watkins and Roxanna Panufnik. As the recording portion starts in August, artists collaborating with Goldscheider on the project include Huw Watkins on piano and tenor vocalist James Gilchrist. –  YouTube

Jeremy E. Smith is the Founder and Editor of Last Row Music. He received music degrees from Grace College, Carnegie Mellon University, and The Ohio State University. Currently, Jeremy is the bass trombonist of the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra, the Huntington Symphony Orchestra, and performs throughout Ohio, where he lives with his wife and two sons. Smith is a member of the International Trombone Association and the Jazz Journalists Association.
