The International Wind Ensemble Academy & Festival (IWAF) 2026 is an audition-based, intensive 17-day summer program for advanced high school, university, and young professional musicians ages 16–29. IWAF offers an immersive international environment focused on high-level ensemble training, contemporary repertoire, and professional development.

Jul. 16 – Aug. 01, 2026

The program begins with a full gathering of participants and faculty in Bangkok, where musicians from around the world come together to rehearse, collaborate, and build an international artistic community before embarking on performances across Asia.

The program includes wind ensemble rehearsals and concerts, chamber music, solo recitals, lectures, and contemporary music sessions, with a strong emphasis on ensemble playing and audition preparation. Students work closely with internationally recognized faculty artists through daily lessons, sectionals, coaching, and side-by-side performance experiences, reflecting the standards of leading conservatories and festivals worldwide.

IWAF 2026 will inaugurate its first international tour, connecting Thailand with major cultural centers in Asia, including Bangkok, Shenzhen, Foshan, Zhuhai, Guangzhou, and Hong Kong. Through these performances and exchanges, participants gain real-world professional experience while engaging with diverse audiences and cultural environments.

Pre-formed chamber ensembles are also welcome to apply. Groups wishing to apply together should contact iwaf@internationalwindacademy.com in advance.
