Commission Consortium Announced for Trombone Solo and Brass Quartet

Trombonist Jett Walker has taken the lead for a commission consortium for a new composition by Jack Wilds that will feature solo trombone and brass quartet.

Jack Wilds is no stranger to the trombone world as his compositions “Leviathan” and a “Fanfare” are becoming active pieces for trombone choirs. For this new work, the composition is expected to be 6 to 10 minutes long and will be set for a difficulty level of advanced/collegiate.

Several levels of support have been set up for students and professionals alike, and the deadline for this consortium is October 11, 2021.
