Prior to Apple releasing this commercial, Sandoval’s rendition of “La Virgen De La Macarena” had only 5 digital downloads. According to Billboard Magazine, the week this commercial was released in November 2016 the number increased to 1,362 downloads. Since then, the track has become the No. 2 Latin hit on the charts behind Shakira and Maluma’s hit “Chantaje.” In November alone, this track from Sandoval’s Trumpet Evolution album had 6,000 digital downloads and 83,000 streams. On Amazon, this digital download ranks #1 in the categories of Free Jazz as well as Latin Jazz.

This fiesty and vigorous song is now becoming the song that blares in the earbuds of anyone wanting to take on a dubious challenge.
