Septura Brass on Second USA Tour

The brass ensemble, Septura Brass, has been able to create a unique niche for themselves. Made up of London’s best brass players, Septura is a group with only trumpets, trombones, and tuba (sorry, french horns and euphoniums). Right now, the 7-member group is in the midst of a recording series with Naxos Records that has, so far, included transcriptions and arrangements of works by Tchaikovsky, Elgar, Shostakovich, Schumann, and many others.

In 2018, Septura embarked on their first journey throughout the USA, and I was lucky enough to attend one of their concerts in Ohio. So far, their 2020 tour has taken them to North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Maryland With only four dates left, you do not want to miss hearing this stellar group of musicians:

February 18 – Susquehanna University, Pennsylvania
February 19 – St. Lawrence University, New York
February 22 – Cal State-East Bay, California
February 23 – Morrison Chamber Music Center, San Francisco

To follow their journey through this large country, be sure to read their blog.
