Trombone Teaching Fellowship at University of North Texas

The University of North Texas Trombone Studio announces an opening for teaching fellow (DMA candidate) starting Fall 2020. The 10 hour/week teaching fellowship comes with a stipend of $6,400 per year. Duties include teaching trombone lessons, conducting trombone choir and coaching chamber music.

The UNT Trombone Studio is one of the largest trombone programs in the world, with as many as 75 trombonists pursuing bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in trombone performance, music education, jazz studies, conducting and composition. Jeremy Smith

Jeremy E. Smith is the Founder and Editor of Last Row Music. He received music degrees from Grace College, Carnegie Mellon University, and The Ohio State University. Currently, Jeremy is the bass trombonist of the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra, the Huntington Symphony Orchestra, and performs throughout Ohio, where he lives with his wife and two sons. Smith is a member of the International Trombone Association and the Jazz Journalists Association.
