Tuesdays on the Tube: Michael Grose and Dale Clevenger

Carrying on the spirit of last week’s Tuesdays on the Tube, I wanted to highlight another excellent series created by Michael Grose, Associate Professor of Tuba and Euphonium at the University of Oregon. In his YouTube series, Tuba People TV (TPTV), Grose interviews students and colleagues of the great pedagogue Arnold Jacobs, former Principal Tuba of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

In this particular interview, it is fascinating to here the interaction that Dale Clevenger, former Principal Horn with the Chicago Symphony, had with Mr. Jacobs during both of their long tenures in Principal positions with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

After you watch this interview, be sure to check out the Oregon Tuba Website and their Facebook page as Mr. Grose will daily post wisdom from Arnold Jacobs with the hashtag, #jakeped.
