Axiom Brass Releases New Album of Commissioned Music

The award-winning chamber group Axiom Brass has released a new album of brass music. Containing five pieces that were commissioned by the ensemble, this album features works by Augusta Read Thomas, David Faleris, Liduino Pitombeira, Matt Ulery, and Ben Hjertmann. Members of Axiom Brass include Dorival Puccini (Trumpet), Michael Hawes (Trumpet), Matthew Bronstein (Horn), Corey Sansolo (Trombone), and Kevin Harrison (Tuba).

Jeremy Smith

Jeremy E. Smith is the Founder and Editor of Last Row Music. He received music degrees from Grace College, Carnegie Mellon University, and The Ohio State University. Currently, Jeremy is the bass trombonist of the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra, the Huntington Symphony Orchestra, and performs throughout Ohio, where he lives with his wife and two sons. Smith is a member of the International Trombone Association and the Jazz Journalists Association.
