North Texas Announces Two New Trumpet Professors

While it may seem that LRM has been running rampant with North Texas brass news, it is only because it is important to take note of new hires for one of the largest music schools in the world. So much tradition has taken place at the University of North Texas, and these new hires will in no doubt continue that brass legacy.

Recently, it has been announced that the University of North Texas has hired two new trumpet professors for the upcoming 2018-2019 school year. Raquel Rodriquez and Caleb Hudson will be joining John Holt to teach the trumpet studio at UNT. Rodriquez is currently the Assistant Professor of Trumpet at Tennessee Tech University and has performed with numerous ensembles throughout the world. She is also a member of Seraph Brass, one of the top all-female brass groups in the world. Joining Rodriquez and Holt is Caleb Hudson, currently a member of the Canadian Brass and also the Professor of Trumpet at Colorado State University. Hudson brings a vast array of experience and education to this position.

So just to recap on the extensive overhaul occurring in the brass department at UNT, here are the new professors for the 2018-2019 academic year:
